today i just made some mods to my bike.
since i travel long distance few times a month and you need
to refuel at gas stations in far away places and you cant guarantee
the cleanliness of their fuels.
I dont know why mopeds these days dont have fuel filters.

So i decided to install a FUEL FILTER to my Sniper 135.
this is a very cheap solution than having your carb cleaned
due to dirty gas.

i would advise you guys to install fuel filter to your bike.
its better to be safe :)

by the way, dont buy the POSH brand of fuel filter.
its a crappy fuel filter. The filter element is made of plastic
and dont fit very well ( i think posh made it for vanity purposes only)

buy those white plastic fuel filters with paper as the filter element.
the cost is only USD$1 or less

Enjoy my howto guys

do I still need this if I only buy fuel at the same shell gas station and never from other gas station?
yes you still need it.
even those gas station you trust still have some dirts.
its stored in the ground you know...
better be safe...

why you dont like pressure operated carrot?
its for the safety reasons, when the fuel line is cut
and engine is off, gasoline wont spill.

i think you can use the ordinary fuel cock used
by other mopeds, i think they have the same size
of thread so you can replace the stock.

or

since its operated by pressure, try inserting a piece of string in the pressure hose line
and see if you can push the switch valve manually. dont know if that works.

i can...just take the faucet from your kitchen sink...hehehe

dude that wouldnt be a good idea coz the carb might get flooded with fuel if you forgot to close it...

good idea :p
But the hose is vacuum operated, it dun work by pushing the valve, gotta pull the valve.

Is the stock petcock removable ?
i have no time to check it out. Can i just take out the petcock and use another one ? Its not welded on the tank, right ?

looks like its welded there, I think vacuum is better, if not, you'll get flooded by fuel if you want to install this fuel filter :D

Nice job traxxas - modifier, very good step by step instruction. Now that's worth considering.

Frozen, yes you need it because dirt will not only comes from petrol station's tank and hoses but when the gas tank deteriorates it will have chucks of rust and also if sometimes you fill up using containers which are dirty.

I suggest you use car fuel filter that is bigger and re-clean-able because T135 use vacuum fuel line mode, I'm afraid ordinary fuel filter will cause fuel delay on high rpm

i've heard some cases of high speed stalling for some Vario n Mio also Nouvo too...coz this models also uses a vacum fuel pump??...
is any chance that this might happen to our t135???

well thats true man, just happened to me couple of days ago, when i hit 140km/h,maybe about 30 or 40 minutes then suddenly when i close my throttle my engine never wanna stop, until i brake so hard at the traffic light when its turn red,i dropped the gear my bike just jumping until it reach the 1st gear, automaticly my front wheel goes up,thats scary men, humungus trailer just behind me,i turn off my engine and call my friend to pick me up,luckily nothing bad happen and my home was not far away,i checked my bike,it was the throttle cable that stuck,it was dry,so make sure that you guys lubricate all the crucial cable, importantly that throttle cable

wow..thats scary man....ya guys dont forget to lube your cables once in a a while...if only there's a failsafe to this??
but rudduan i'm not talking about jammed throttle at high speed..but i've read about other bike got their engine stall at high speed coz the fuel pump all of the sudden aint working aint pumping fuel..at high speed the engine just went off when the gear is still engaging..if we can react quick shouldnt be any problem but if not??..a lock up at high speed...wow imagine if theres a huge truck behind you???..
wow anyone care for some meat "crepes"???:D:D:D:D:D

Huhu.Thats situation also happen to me years ago around september..i suggest you to change your cable before it brake-into two pisces...Just buy original cable..although its safety than local parts..

Dude please dont lets people turn in and turn out your cable when not ride it...Jgn bg org pusing² trotle hg kalau bukan time bawa motor tu.

Your cable could be useless if everyday people play with your throtle dude.
