synthetic oil really good for our engine?
Bike now 95000km, oil change every 10000km....engine still good but the clutch is a bit noisy, mobil 1 5w-50 fully syn....
is mobil 1 a good oil?
yes, very good, have not touched the engine, just change every 10,000km, only twice in 1 year with genuine oil filter....but i am planning to open up the engine once i reached 100000km just to see the engine internals for wear...
problem in the philippines there are so many fak oil ghahaha
Have anyone tried adding additives to your EO? For example X-1R for small engine...
maybe some master will comment.. is it okey to use synthetic oil in our engine? im a little bit worried that my clutch lining will slide
Here in laguna, the original oil filter for smx is 150 pesos
Any brand of motorcycle engine oil will do. .just choose the higher grade like 10w60 or 10w50. .if you can find 5w50 or 5w60 it will be the best. .
Additional input. .regardless of being synthetic, semi or mineral based just refer to its grade. .
i have use motul 7100 10w-40 from 500km until now 14k km..this oil very perfect for my ride in town with much power in traffic light and jammed..change every 3k millage..
BRO TRUE IM FROM MALDIVES TOO .. I USE YAMALUBE I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO TRY A BETTER ONE .
Just an advise.. NEVER EVER COME BACK on that mechanic who told you those things about engine oils! Lol
what is your basis? There is logic to the statement. Newer engines have tighter clearance that require thinner oil. As your engine gets older, you need a slightly thicker oil. Old engines with big clearance, need thick oils. Although the age is not really the exact measure of engine condition. Thinner oil is lighter thus more power and better fuel efficiency. But if your engine is already loosing compression, a thicker oil can help lower oil consumption. Best oil is no question, full synthetic. It can maintain its quality longer. Except for Mobil 1, all oils are mineral oil. Additives are added to attain synthetic performance.
I'm using Motul 3000, smooth and better acceleration for topspeed
Better than what oil? Please state the oils you are comparing. Remember also that every change oil is generally better since the new oil is new compared to a depreciated old oil. Unless your new oil is a crapy one.
I've used Yamalube new, Power1, Shell Advance, all change in every 1000km
I bet you that if you put power1 in your next change oil, it will again be better. The oil you change is already burned unlike your fresh new oil.
I have used power1 for almost 1 year, engine is always hot, yamalube and shell is better for me than power1, power1 change oil every 1000km
I've used Motul only just 2times and satisfied.
